International Array Of Artists Come Together For All God's Children Tour

An international array of talents has been assembled for the World Vision-sponsored All God's Children Tour. South African based rockers Tree63, Australian native Paul Colman, and Word Record's all American Building 429 kicked off the 30 plus city tour on Friday in Belton, Texas to a sold-out crowd. The tour, which will also feature German based J-STAR Records artist Claas P. Jambor as an opening act, will hit major markets throughout the nation including Phoenix, AZ, Knoxville, TN and Cincinnati, OH.

“The All God’s Children Tour has been an exciting tour to represent,” says Jeff Roberts of Jeff Roberts & Associates, the agency booking the tour. “The response from the promoters has been overwhelming, and we’re looking forward to a bunch of great dates,” he says.

Inpop Records group Tree63 burst onto the American Christian music scene five years ago with a string of singles from its self-titled debut. The album was a success, yielding a 2001 Dove Award for "Rock Album of the Year" as well as landing Tree63 a spot on the 2002 Festival Con Dios Tour. Last year's The Answer To The Question brought even greater success for the group, as the album's first single, a cover of Matt & Beth Redman's "Blessed Be Your Name," garnered Billboard Magazine's No. 1 Most Played Christian Song of the Year Award as well as drawing Dove nominations for the prestigious Song of the Year and Worship Song of the Year awards. The group has recently released The Tree63 Songbook -the group's first ever collection of music and lyrics in print- which contains most of The Answer songs, plus older songs including "Treasure," "Joy" and "Look What You've Done."

Paul Colman, former frontman for Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning act Paul Colman Trio, will support his first solo effort in seven years, Let It Go, on the All God’s Children Tour. Let It Go, produced by Ed Cash (Bebo Norman, Bethany Dillon) and Vince Emmett (Rebecca St. James), features 11 well-crafted pop tracks all written or co-written by Colman. The album's current single “Gloria” recently hit No. 1 on the Australian Christian music charts, making it Colman’s eighth No. 1 in his home country.

Word Records artist Building 429 first made headlines with their Glory Defined EP, released in April 2004. A multi-format success, “Glory Defined” hit No.1 on eight AC and CHR charts, staying at the top of Christian Radio Weekly’s AC chart for 10 consecutive weeks-a spot it claimed faster than any single in the publication’s history. Space In Between Us, the band’s July 2004 full-length release, paved the way for four Dove nominations, including “New Artist of the Year” and “Song of the Year.” Building 429 recently wrapped up the Winter Jam 2005 tour with Toby Mac, Rachel Lampa, Tait, and Newsong.
