iOS 5 Battery Problems: Apple Continues to 'Investigate Remaining Issues'

Apple launched an update to fix its troubled iOS 5 last week, however, users are still complaining about the battery drainage problem with their devices.

Disgruntled users have been complaining that the issue has not been resolved, with some even reporting that the problem was made even worse with the new upgrade.

"Is it just me or did the #iOS5 update do absolutely nothing to address the battery issues?" chadmolloy said on Twitter.

Another user “richcovephoto” also tweeted: "iPhone 4s has gone down to 34% battery in 7 hours... Update never worked.”

Apple released the upgraded iOS 5 just on Thursday, just eight days after publicly acknowledging the battery drainage issue.

"The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS5 devices," Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller said. "We continue to investigate a few remaining issues."

However, not all users are complaining. Twitter user DanGunam tweeted: "I can already see the difference with the new iOS5 update 5.01 my battery life is longer."

New problems have also emerged following the upgrade, including microphone failures, Wi-Fi signal loss, and cellular network reception issues.
