The company also released a beta of the Apple TV software this week.

The upcoming iOS 6.1 update will give Apple users the ability to purchase movie tickets using Siri.

This information was derived from leaked images that show the voice command system performing the task of finding tickets for a movie and purchasing them.

Siri in conjunction with Fandango will have the ability to perform this task and allow iPhone or iPad users to simply speak commands into the device and be ready to enter the movies instantly.

Siri users looking to buy them will have to tell Siri to purchase the tickets for the movie they want to see and then their local theaters with show times will be displayed next.

The feature will be available on iOS 6.1 when it launches next year.

In the meantime, the iOS 6.0.1 download is being rolled out by Apple to iOS users.

Various sources are now reporting that the company has tested the new software that will bring a few minor updates to iOS users, in addition to making the system run more smoothly.

The update is expected to get rid of some of the bugs currently found in iOS 6, including the horizontal lines that appear at times when a user is typing with the keyboard or opening a folder.
