iOS 7 Beta 6 Release Date Set for Next Week
The iOS 7 Beta 6 release date will be next week.
Apple will issue the latest software build to developers at that time, according to a report from BGR.
The site stated that Beta 6 will be the final developer release before Apple finalizes iOS 7 with a golden master build. This golden master will be seeded to internal groups and carrier partners starting on Sept. 5. Developers will begin receiving the official update on Sept. 10, the rumored release date for the next-gen iPhone.
Apple normally unveils the iPhone and rolls out the iOS software to the public a few days later.
Features on the beta 6 version of iOS 7 are unknown at this time. Beta 5 contained bug fixes and improvements.
This version rolled two weeks ago shortly after the previous beta 4 version became available. Apple also launched the 4th version of its Apple TV beta, which could be downloaded by registered members of Apple's paid developers program.
The software is said to bring a number of improvements to the system such as bug fixes, newly redesigned Settings icons and a Control Center option that allows the feature to be disabled within apps. It features a completely redesigned interface created to compete with the ever-changing Android OS. Google debuted its latest Android 4.3 last month.
It also offers a slew of minor interface tweaks and improvements that make the system run faster and smoother. The Control Center settings allow the user to turn the function off while in apps which stops it from being accessed from the bottom of the screen while playing games.
The slider bar that pops up when the iPhone is powering down has been altered a big and the Twitter icon has been redesigned reversing the colors of the bird and the background.
Banner notifications can also be pulled down to access additional information. The software features a completely redesigned interface created to compete with the ever-changing Android OS. Google debuted its latest Android 4.3 last month.
