iOS 7 Release Date Scheduled for Sept. 10, Software Debuting With iPhone 5S and 5C
The iOS 7 release date is scheduled for Sept. 10.
Apple will begin rolling out the new software on that date, according to an email sent by the company Nuance that specializes in powering Siri's speech recognition capabilities.
The email was sent out to developers using the company's API and in the body of it Nuance claims the General Availability date for iOS 7 will be on Sept. 10.

"As you are probably aware, iOS 7 GA will be released on September 10th," read the email. "The NDEV Program has pre-qualified that SpeechKit 1.4.5 works properly on iOS 7, but we encourage you to conduct your own testing to ensure that when the upgrade happens, your Nuance speech services continue to work seamlessly."
Apple normally releases iOS Golden Master versions to developers on the same day as the new iPhone announcement, which is scheduled for that same day. This gives developers a change to test their apps with the final version of the software before its release to the general public which normally takes place a few days later.
Apple first announced the iOS 7 release date for this fall at WWDC earlier this year.
The new software will come with many new features along with a completely redesigned layout with fresh fonts and new templates. The newly designed interface will come with flat icons and a 3D effect that will make the wallpaper appear to be some distance behind the icons.
The notification menu will also be updated as users will access it by pulling it down. It can track what activity you are doing such as playing music and provides users with easy access to their settings and the new features called AirPlay and AirDrop.
AirDrop allows Mac users to share content such as pictures and videos with a multiple amount of people using Apple devices in the same vicinity. It is similar to the NFC, except the devices don't need to make physical contact and must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
