Meanwhile, the team Zerodium (zero-day acquisition platform) announced that it will be giving away $1 million as reward for anyone who can successfully jailbreak iOS 9 untethered via the browser-based method only, the report relays.

"The Million Dollar iOS 9 Bug Bounty is tailored for experienced security researchers, reverse engineers, and jailbreak developers," Latino Post quotes Zerodium's statement. "And is an offer made by ZERODIUM to pay out a total of three million U.S. dollars ($3,000,000.00) in rewards for iOS exploits/jailbreaks."

Lastly, the Semi JB Team posted a partial iOS 9 jailbreak that can be installed with Cydia in limited functions. The team claims that the jailbreak has been tested on all iOS versions. In addition, the team said all the versions will allow the jailbreak to exercise its functionalities even without the root.

The release date of the iOS 9 jailbreak could come anytime this month, albeit this is still unconfirmed. Apple device users who want to jailbreak their iPhone will just have to wait and see if the rumors prove to be true.
