iOS 9 Jailbreak Update: Apple's Newest OS Has Proven Tough to Jailbreak
iOS 9 has been released to Apple users for a couple of weeks ago; however, there is still no jailbreak OS available yet.
According to TaiG Jailbreak website, Apple has really worked hard on building the iOS 9 firmware, since Pangu and TaiG, two of the most famous jailbreaker teams, have been quiet these past two weeks. Apple device owners can't wait to get out of the stock OS from Apple since iOS 9 has proven to be one of the most troublesome updates yet, according to Forbes.
The last successful jailbreak as of the moment is the iOS 8.4 version by the TaiG team, which was rumored before to be "unjailbreakable." The team is also being reported to silently work on a possible iOS 9.0.2 jailbreak, but no updates yet whether TaiG has successfully done it yet.
A video has been posted on YouTube by a hacker named iH8snow, showing his successful iOS 9 jailbreak. iH8snow showed the iOS 9 user interface to the viewers, and even customized his device. However, the hacker didn't release the jailbreak, and is rumored to not having any plans to ever release his iOS 9 jailbreak, according to Neuro Gadget.
There are also reports that a million dollars is being offered to anyone who can jailbreak the new Apple OS. According to iOS 9 Cydia, Zerodium is giving away $1 million for those who can provide an "untethered, exclusive, and browser-based iOS 9 jailbreak. The premium zero-day acquisition platform company, Zerodium, has even posted guidelines on how to be eligible for the bounty.
Since there is still no publicly available iOS 9 jailbreak, users are advised not to update their current OS to the iOS 9 or the future iOS 9.1, according to the Latin Post. It has been announced that anyone who updates to iOS 9.0.2 will not be able to go back to any older OS versions anymore.
