iPad 3 and iPhone 5 Rumors Claim Devices Will be Thicker and Longer Respectively

2012 isn’t even here yet and there are already fresh rumors concerning the upcoming iPad, iPhone and MacBook Pro.

iLounge claims that the next generation iPad will be a little thicker, by 0.7mm to make room for a “twin light bar system” for a higher resolution display. It’s expected to be released as early as March, but could be shown to the public by January.

The next generation iPhone will not be teardrop-shaped, but will feature a 4-inch display, will be 8mm longer with a metal casing, and is still currently in the engineering phase. A new processor is expected, LTE support, along with NFC. The device is on track to be released in the summer of 2012.
