iPad 3 Release Date to be Announced at February Media Event
With the buzz for the iPad 3 starting to grow more frequently due to part leaks and manufacturers allowing information to trickle downstream, the time may finally be here when its official release date is announced.
Apple is holding an education media event in New York City this week and it has been leaked by Japanese blog Macotakara that the next media event held by the company will be directly related to the iPad 3’s release.
MacRumors translated the information provided by the blog.
“According to Asian supplier and source in United States, Apple seems to prepare to hold Special Event in early February,” wrote Macotakara. “Because Chinese factory will be in holiday of New Year, then new product is considered to be released by early March.”
This information is quite vague, but with all the blogs recently leaking a March release date for the tablet, there is the strong possibility of this report being somewhat accurate.
Apple is also due to announced the release of a new version of the Mac Pro and MacBook Pro in the near future. Macotakara reported last week that Foxconn and Pegatron, two companies known for their manufacturing of Apple products have already begun producing next-generation iPads.
Bloomberg also confirmed this earlier this week by claiming that the product should launch around March with a quad-core processor, LTE radio and retina display.
Various videos and images of replacement parts made for the new Apple tablet have also surfaced on the internet on sites such as Macotakara.
With the next generation iPhone reportedly on the way Apple should expect to have a huge year. If the rumors are correct and the device is launching in March, then February will be the month they announce the product in normal Apple fashion.
