iPad Mini 4 and iPhone 7 News, Rumors: Round-Up of Details Including Release Dates, Specs, and Prices
With the upcoming unveiling event of Apple's new slate of devices this week, rumors are coming from every direction and the pace is definitely crazy. Apparently, upon publication of this article, the reports will probably be already changed. Nonetheless, these are the latest we have heard about the iPad Mini 4 and the iPhone 7/iPhone 6s.
First off, it is said through PCAdvisor.com that since the Cupertino-based tech giant won't be holding a special iPad event in October, it is assumed that the iPad Mini 4 will probably be announced at this Wednesday's "One More Thing" event along with the highly-anticipated iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.
The reports regarding its features and specs are but a quite few. However, PC Advisor let loose some speculations based from the words on the street that the tablet will probably "be slimmed down, just like the iPad Air 2" and that it will be using a laminated screen for its display.
It is also certain that the Mini 3 successor will get some processor upgrades, "most likely to the A8X" which is used in the iPad Air 2. This will be paired with a couple of RAM.
As for the price, the website had it at the UK currency which is £299 (more or less $450 USD).
The details for Apple's lineup of smartphone, on the other hand, is somewhat getting clearer as the day of its unveiling nears. However, the focus now falls on the company's next year smartphone offering.
The alleged iPhone 7 is thought to be the company's 2016 flagship and is touted to be its "thinnest iPhone" yet, said the report from Yahoo.
According to the media outlet, while the reportedly upcoming iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus will be following the outgoing model's basic design, the 7th phone in the series won't.
Citing KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, it was found out that the future-gen iPhone will measure anywhere "between 6.0 and 6.5-mm thick" and that the Apple Watch maker might switch to "glass-on-glass" solutions for its upcoming phones.
"Apple and its suppliers have invested heavily in iPhone Force Touch in 2015, and we believe 2016 new models will stick with a similar Force Touch structure as used in 2015," Kuo was quoted as saying (via Yahoo).
