The Apple iPad Mini and MacBook Pro launch event will take place on Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET with the company promising to live stream the event for fans to watch online.

The event on October 23 has seen Apple add a new application to its Apple TV listings called "Apple Events" and Apple owners will be able to watch the entire presentation for free through their Apple TV box.

A message has already appeared on the page saying, "Tune in at 10 a.m. PT on October 23 to watch this event live."

Although there, as usual, has been no word from Apple about what devices will be released at the media event, it is widely believed that the company will release the eagerly anticipated iPad Mini.

The event has been simply labeled as "Special Event" by Apple, who as usual have given nothing away ahead of their official releases.

It has been rumored for months that Apple has been planning on releasing a lower end version of its bestselling iPad to compete with market competitors in the form of the Amazon Kindle Fire HD, as well as the Barnes & Noble Nook, and the Google Nexus 7. At the moment Apple is losing out at the lower end of the market, which has attracted many customers who prefer a cheaper or smaller version tablet.

The rumored specifications of the iPad Mini hint that there will be two model options to choose between: a seven or nine inch screen.

The iPad Mini may also include a stylus, an 8-megapixel camera and the base unit is looking to have an 8 GB memory.

The price tag is rumored to be set at around $250 to $300 depending on screen sizes.

Meanwhile the event is also rumored to unveil other eagerly awaited Apple products, such as the 13 inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, as well as a new iMac.

The event will take place at the California Theatre in San Jose, California.

If you have an Apple TV tune in to the "Apple Events" app to watch the unveiling via live stream, or alternatively click HERE to watch online through live streaming on the Apple website.
