iPad Pro 2 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Apple Might Announce New iPad Pro Next Week
After what seems to be a long time in the world of technology, there is still no official word from Apple about a new iteration of its high-tech tablet, the iPad Pro. However, recent reports now claim that the Cupertino-based company might announce the iPad Pro 2 as early as next week.
According to MacRumors, a well-known research firm allegedly told them that Apple might announce a new line of products later this month, most possibly during the week of March 20. However, the research firm did not enumerate the products it expects to be unveiled, neither did the firm detail the manner in which these products will be announced.
Japanese blog Mac Otakara somewhat supports this suggestion, reporting that some Japanese analysts have predicted that a second-generation 9.7-inch iPad Pro will be unveiled next week. The analysts reportedly based their prediction on supply chain information and Apple's lack of a scheduled event for next week.

Since Apple usually invites the media at least 10 days before a launch event, it is possible that the iPad Pro 2 could be announced via press release instead.
A press release could be the suitable method of unveiling the 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2 model if rumors are true that the device will only be an iterative upgrade. One of the few rumored improvements to this model is the addition of quad microphones. However, there are also suggestions that the device could be powered by a much faster Apple A10X chip.
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously indicated that the Cupertino-based tech giant will not only introduce a budget-friendly 9.7-inch iPad tablet, the company will also launch an update to its 12.9-inch iPad Pro model and a new 10-inch or 10.5-inch model.
According to Tech Crunch, new iPad models are reportedly being tested in Cupertino and nearby locations, which potentially confirms the rumors that a new iPad lineup will be arriving this spring.
Should rumors be proven true, Apple fans can expect the 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2 to be announced next week.
