iPhone 4S Price Drops to $149 at Target Retail Locations
Apple fans interested in picking up the iPhone 4S should make their way over to Target as the retailer is now offering the 16GB version for just $149.99, according to 9to5Mac, who received a tip on the stores plans to discount the smartphones this week.
That's a $50 discount from its normal price.
Target is also offering the 8GB version of the iPhone 4 for just $50. That's also down 50 percent from its normal price of $99.
Both of these devices will have to be purchased with a new two-year contract in order to get them for this price.
The deal is currently unavailable online.
The discount on the device could be due to the anticipation for the launch of the next-generation iPhone that could be unveiled as early as next month.

Apple is also offering iPads for discounted prices on its website.
The sale includes the 16GB Wi-Fi original Apple iPad now priced at just $279.
The company is also dropping prices on the second generation iPad with the base price of the tablet being just $319, down $30 from its original tag.
The higher capacity models also received a discount dropping another $50 from the price they were at when the third-generation model launched back in March of this year.
The reason behind the discounting of the iPads could be due to the company's move to a "new iPad 2" with increased battery life thanks to its more efficient processor that could be worth more than a $50 premium.
The third-generation Apple tablet, dubbed "the new iPad," allowed the company to begin to push its previous models in order to compete with the low-end tablet market that includes top sellers such as the Barnes and Noble Nook and the Amazon Kindle Fire that retail at $199 and $249.
