iPhone 4S Release Date: Who Needs an iPhone 5 When You Have Siri?

Since the release of the new iPhone 4S, Apple has taken over the market selling more than 4 million units with its new smartphone that boasts some interesting new features.

Some of the most impressive new features include Siri, a personal assistant software. On its website, Apple says of the feature, “Siri – Your wish is its command.”

Siri allows iPhone users to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more. The feature recognizes spoken commands in both the standard Siri view and the keyboard dictation view.

Siri even speaks back to the iPhone 4S user offering its owner a bit of entertainment.

On a Tumblr blog entitled "**** That Siri Says" new iPhone 4S users have been posting their experiences with the personal assistant device and the responses have been quite interesting.

One person posted that they asked the software the question, “What are you wearing?” to which the software responded, “You have the wrong personal assistant, Client.”

Another person asked Siri, "What's the meaning of life?" and Siri responded, "I find it odd that you would ask this of an inanimate object."

Dan Gross at CNN also put Siri to the test asking the software to make him a sandwich to which it responded, “I don’t know what you mean by "Siri, make me a sandwich.” Gross suggested that the software showed “true remorse when she couldn’t do what was asked.”

CNN also tested Siri’s response to common phrases with such as “I’m bored” or “I’m sleepy.”

Siri responded by saying, “I bore you?” and “I hope you’re not driving.”

In fact, CNN discovered that Siri can even help people find a local bar. CNN posed the question, “What’s a good place to get drunk around here?” and Siri responded, “I found a number of bars fairly close to you. I’ve sorted them by rating.”

With such an intriguing feature, it is no wonder why Apple has been able to sell so many new iPhone’s amidst worldwide disappointment that the company would ultimately not be releasing the much anticipated iPhone 5, just yet.

However, with a feature like Siri, perhaps disappointed iPhone users will be kept too busy being entertained by their phone to notice that it is in fact not the next generation phone they have been waiting for.
