iPhone 5 Cases Carried by Apple Stores Later This Month
iPhone 5 cases will finally arrive in Apple retail locations later on this month.
9to5Mac reports this morning that inside sources have confirmed that Apple will begin selling third-party iPhone 5 cases at its stores the week of Oct. 22. However, this date is subject to change, due to the possibility of a shift in supplies from the company's case partners.
The new iPhone features a new aluminum enclosure that seems to get scratched quite easily, making the need for an exterior case that much more important.

Various Apple case partners have already begun offering these cases through their own outlets. Apple appears to be taking its time testing out different cases before deciding on which ones to carry.
Apple launched the iPhone 5 last month and the device has already sold over 5 million units worldwide, making it the biggest iPhone release of all time.
The new smartphone features a taller 4-inch display and thinner design at 7.6 mm thick. The new screen is 1136 x 640 pixels resolution with 326 pixels. It also has touch sensors built into it in order to keep the phone as thin as possible.
With the taller screen, applications have been expanded, but Apple promises that nothing has been altered or stretched in the process. It also allows for five rows of icons to be displayed on the new iPhone's home screen.
The iPhone 5 features a two-tone design with a metal backing. It is completely made from glass and aluminum. It is said to be 20 percent lighter than the 4S.
Hardware has been greatly improved as well, as the device comes with an A6 chip that can perform at speeds twice as fast as the A5 found in the iPhone 4S. It is also 22 percent smaller than its predecessor.
