iPhone 5 Release Date: Brand New Everything for Apple Fans in 2012

Apple, the tech giant responsible for fashionable devices such as iPhone, iPod, and iPad, is expected to unveil major redesigns of its full roster of gadgets in 2012.

Perhaps the company’s most popular device, the iPhone, was first released in 2007. The fifth installation in the series, the iPhone 4S, was put on shelves Oct. 14, but iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 rumors are already prevalent.

The Japanese newspaper Nikkan has reported that the next-generation iPhone will have “low-temperature poly-silicon” technology in its display, which would allow for thinner, lighter phones whose screens consume less power.

Of course, the picture would also be more vivid than on the Retina display of the iPhone 4 and 4S.

The next piece of tech to get an overhaul would be the iPad series. The Apple rumor mill is already calling it the iPad 2S, as the newest iPad’s sales are still too strong to undercut it with a brand new iPad 3.

According to Digitimes, Apple will have enough inventory available to produce 2 million of the next iPad by the end of this year. The website informs that TPK Holdings and Wintek are the two companies working on the next flat panel modules and LED light bars for the next iPad.

The MacBook Pro and MacBook Air computers are due for an overhaul, because the technology in both of them has not changed in quite some time. Unfortunately, the newest iMac computer most likely will not be released until later in 2012, due to delays.

Finally, the iPod Touch, neglected by Apple in 2011 according to some, could be the first piece of technology Apple uncovers next year. Since September of 2007, the technology staple has released an iPod Touch every year, until 2011, when they did not. Apple could be looking to upset the status quo by releasing it early.

2012 should see a myriad of new Apple devices, keeping Apple fans satisfied.
