iPhone 5 Release Date: GarageBand Released for iPhone and iPod Touch
GarageBand has come out for the iPhone and the iPod Touch, so aspiring artists can create music on the go with their handsets.
It is available in app form for the two popular devices for just $4.99 and can be accessed here.
GarageBand is a music creation tool that offers a range of keyboards, guitars, drums and basses. Each instrumental on the app supports Smart Instrument custom chords.
These chords come in handy for users who are not as talented musically, but have the ambition to create songs regardless.
The program also allows users to plug in external instruments and run them through the app’s amps and stompbox effects.
Vocals can be recorded on the program using the microphone on the iPhone or iPod Touch.
GarageBand allows users to record up to eight tracks at a time that can get mixed and released as an audio file.
It will also have a sampler, 9 amps and 10 stompboxes.
Apple will include 250 professional samples in this version of GarageBand and it exports in standard AAC format or can be sent as GarageBand files to the desktop app.
The program is currently available for download on the iPad, and for those who already have it on their tablet and do not want to pay for it twice, users can re-download it to your smaller iOS device for free.
Users can perform this task through the “Purchased” section of the App store.
GarageBand is wildly popular among amateur song writers and producers looking to get their start in mixing and recording music.
This new iPod Touch and iPhone Version will make recording tracks on the go a real possibility.
Smartphones such as the iPhone 5 that will have powerful processors should truly be able to optimize the performance of this type of program.
