iPhone 5 Release Date: iPhone 4S Beats Samsung Galaxy S2 for Speed
The iPhone 4S has been proven to be faster than the Samsung Galaxy S2 in a video comparison made by Slashgear, comparing the performance of the browsers of both handsets.
In the demonstration the iPhone 4S is put first side by side with the iPhone 4 in a browser test to see how well the new A5 dual-core processor runs. Then it moves on to Android.
In most tests the 1.5 GHz Qualcomm in the Galaxy S2 performs very well but is beaten by the new A5 dual-core iPhone.
The iPhone 4S proved to be slightly faster but the battle will continue to go back and forth as both Apple and Samsung remain extremely competitive in the so-called “smartphone war.”
Android is growing daily after significant development and growth over the past few years.
Apple is set to launch its iPhone 4S on Oct. 14 while Samsung launched its Galaxy S2 in the U.S. in September. Below is a comparison of the two rivals based on their specs and features.
Galaxy S2 is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 8megapixel camera with 3264x2448 pixels, running on Android`s 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS. The Samsung smartphone boasts 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 32GB and has 1GB RAM. It has 21 Mbps download speed and 5.6Mbps upload.
iPhone 4S features a 1 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 8 megapixel camera with 3264x2448 pixels. It is loaded with the iOS 5, a free software update bringing over 200 new features to the iPhone, the iPad and iPod touch. The new iPhone comes in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models and it is claimed to have data download speed that is nearly twice as fast as the iPhone 4.
