iPhone 5 Release Date Rumors: Only 1 Device, iPhone 4S, Will be Launched October
A new leak has confirmed that the next generation iPhone exists and is likely to be released in the coming weeks, following months of unconfirmed rumors.
However, Apple’s newest handset may be released in the form of the iPhone 4S and not the even more highly anticipated iPhone 5.
Photos of inventory entries have been posted on Apple websites such as 9to5Mac.
The new iPhone is likely to come with Apple’s dual-core A5 processor, an 8-megapixel camera, and 1GB RAM. It is expected to come with a speech-to-text function and more voice functions.
A new and exciting app called “Assistant,” is a rumored voice recognition and navigation system, that will be embedded deep within iOS 5 that allows users to operate much of the new iPhone’s functionality just by speaking.
According to 9to5Mac, users will be able to do everything, from get directions to a restaurant to compose and send text messages and emails, just by speaking.
The features expected from Assistant are extremely impressive and it is one of the most exciting rumors about the phone.
The 4G version of the iPhone might launch in 2012 but a leak says the new phone’s internet speed will be three times faster even without it.
Apple will finally unveil its latest iPhone next Tuesday, October 4, at 10am PST, at its headquarters in Cupertino, California.
