iPhone 5 Release Date: Verizon Lowers Price of 16GB and 32GB iPhone 4
As Verizon Wireless prepares for its launch of the iPhone 4S and the 8GB iPhone 4, the network has also discounted the price of the 16GB and 32GB iPhone 4.
In conjunction with the unveiling of the iPhone 4S at Apple's "Let's Talk iPhone" event on October 4, the company announced that it would be downgrading its iPhone 4 to a 8GB phone, which would sell for $99.
The 16GB and 32GB iPhone 4 have essentially been discontinued, however Verizon is discounting their prices in order to promote sales.

The 16GB will sell for $149.99 and the 32GB will sell for $199.99, while supplies last.
The 16GB and 32GB iPhone 4 are currently available for sale, but the 8GB iPhone 4 begins shipping on October 13.
The iPhone 4S is priced at $199 for the 16GB, $299 for the 32GB and $399 for the 64GB with a two-year contract.
It will be available for pre-order on October 7 and will begin shipping on October 14.
There is no word as to whether AT&T will be discounting the price of its 16GB and 32GB iPhone 4.
Sprint was announced as the newest carrier of the iPhone at the "Let's Talk iPhone" event.
The network will power the iPhone 4S as well as the 8GB iPhone 4.
Recent reports have indicated that the unlocked iPhone 4S will not be supported on Sprint and Verizon's CMDA powered networks.
However, the unlocked iPhone 4S should still be supported on AT&T's GSM powered network as well as T-Mobile's network.
T-Mobile is known for powering iPhones, despite not being a vendor or carrier of Apple devices.
The popularity of the iPhone 4S is currently in question as many who were anticipating the iPhone 5 are considering the 4S simply an upgrade of the iPhone 4.
