iPhone 5S Price Slashed $200 for Boost Mobile Customers

The iPhone 5S price could be $200 less than Apple's for those looking to purchase the device through Boost Mobile.

Customers buying the 16GB version could grab it unlocked for just $549.99 on Boost. That's $100 cheaper than Apple would charge for it. The carrier is also offering an additional $100 off through Nov. 24 to customers who are switching from another carrier and make the purchase at one of the brand's retail stores.

This same promotion is also available for the iPhone 5C as the smartphone could be bought for just $349.99 off-contract with the in-store promotion.

Boost Mobile offers some pretty reasonable plans for its service with a $55 per month contract-free unlimited talk/text/data. The data will be throttled once users reach 2.5GB in a month.

Customers will also have the option to reduce their monthly fees by making on-time payments, with Boost reducing the charge by $5 for every six on-time payments made down to a minimum of $40 per month after 18 months.

iPhone 5S supplies are already said to be scarce on Boost while iPhone 5Cs are plentiful, according to a report from MacRumors. All of the different iPhone 5S models are listed as "Out of Stock" on the carrier's website.

This is the first time Boost Mobile will be carrying the iPhone.

The iPhone 5S launched in September and comes with a new A7 processor and is the world's first true 64-bit smartphone. Apple stated that it is five times faster than its predecessor the iPhone 5.

The device also features the new M7 motion sensor chip which is able to detect if the user is walking or driving and works with apps related to the function being performed at a given time. The chip continuously measures motion data, comes equipped with an accelerometer, gyroscope and compass, and is useful for a new generation of health and fitness apps.
