The reason for Apple rushing out another iPhone model is due to the company undergoing increased competition from Samsung, who releases smartphones and tablets at a much quicker rate.
However, the new iPhone and iPad having a lower price tag seems unlikely, as Apple released the iPad Mini at a much higher price than expected at $329 for 16GB Wi-Fi model.
In related news, Samsung is reportedly charging Apple more to produce A-series processors for it products increasing prices by 20 percent.
Most of Apple's processors are produced by Samsung at the company's Austin, Texas plant, and are designed by and created by Apple.
