iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S Unveiling Event Livestream: Where and How to Watch
Apple will finally unveil its long awaited next-generation iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 at its media event Tuesday and Apple TV users should be able to tune into all the festivities via livestream.
Safari users could also have the ability to watch the event. Apple used a similar tactic when it broadcasted its annual WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) earlier this year.
And although the company has not officially confirmed its plans to show the event via livestream, there is a good chance it will repeat its strategy from the conference.
A quote from the WWDC press release reveals the exact requirements for what will be needed to view tomorrow's event.
"Apple will broadcast its WWDC 2013 keynote address using Apple's industry-leading HTTP Live Streaming, which is based on open standards. Viewing requires Safari on iOS 4.2 or later on any iPhone, iPad, iPad mini or iPod touch; Safari 4 or later on Mac OS X v10.6 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second or third generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later."
Tech sites such as CNET and 9to5Mac are also sure to be publishing their live blogs as the event is taking place.
Various products are expected to be unveiled at tomorrow's event including the iPhone 6/5S (next-gen model), the iPhone 5C (color), the iPad Mini 2 and the next-generation iPad.
The next-gen iPhone is rumored to feature a new processor and fingerprint sensor. The iPhone 5C will come with a new plastic case and could be offered free on contract.
The media event will take place at 10 a.m. PT. The announcement for the livestream should be early in the morning.
