iPhone 6 Rumors: Apple to Launch 4.7-Inch Model in August?
The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model could launch as early as August, according to a new report.
Taiwan's Economic Daily News claims that Apple is planning to unveil this iPhone in August and will follow with a 5.5-inch or 5.6-inch model in September. It also states that the company will produce 80 million iPhone 6 units this year and that Foxxconn and Largan Precision will handle the assembling of the camera module.
An August launch would introduce a completely new release time for Apple as the company normally introduces it new smartphones in the fall. However, before the iPhone 4s, Apple unveiled handsets during the summer.

A physical mock-up of the iPhone 6 was posted on an Italian website earlier this month.

The mock-up iPhone was created by a case manufacturer who claims that this version is the final one that was used to make the cases and other accessories the right size.
It features rounded edges, rectangular volume buttons, a rounded rear flash, protruding camera and a power button that is located on the right hand side of the device that makes it easier to operate with one hand.

Apple is struggling to find a sufficient battery that measures at 2 mm or less that will fit the device's "very thin" profile, according to a new report from Taiwan's Industrial and Commercial Times.
The report also states that Apple suppliers are calling the 5.5-inch model the "iPhone Air." This device would join Mac's line-up that also consists of an iPad Air and a MacBook Air.
