iPhone 6 Rumors: New Model to Be Sold in Gold, Space Grey and Silver
The new iPhone 6 will be sold in gold, space grey and silver when it is released later this year.
Photos that were leaked earlier this week via Letemsvetemapplem.eu showed flex cables and three SIM card trays that come in those three color options. All of these components are allegedly made for the iPhone 6.
The three trays basically show that the iPhone 6 will keep the same color options as the iPhone 5s. This is no big surprise as the larger size of the next-gen model is expected to be its main selling point.
The flex cables in these pictures are slightly different in layout as the volume one contains both the mute button and the volume buttons with a larger separation between the two. The power flex cable shows the same arrangement of connectors with a potentially larger-sized power button. This further confirms the redesigned button layout rumors that have been popping up recently.
The long rumored iPhone 6 September unveiling and release date were confirmed once again this month.
MacRumors reports that it received information on the device's launch from a reliable source that affirmed the dates. It also revealed that mass shipments of the iPhone 6 from China will hit the U.S. during the last few weeks of September, a week and a half after the unveiling event.
Another report from last week pointed to a Sept. 25 launch date for the device. However, this is a bit out of step with Apple's previous launches that all occurred on Fridays.
Apple's normal release schedule usually leads to a fall launch for its flagship smartphone. It is unclear if the 4.7- and 5.5-inch models will launch at the same time as some insiders point to the larger version hitting stores in the beginning of 2015.
