iPhone 6 Rumors: Top and Bottom Strips for Backing Leaks, Dual-LED Flash Confirmed
The iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S leaks and rumors seem to be surfacing at a more rapid pace these days.
Photos of strips for the device's backing leaked onto the internet earlier this week. The top strip has space for a dual-LED flash, which is consistent with some of the other recent rumors regarding the next-generation iPhone.
This dual-LED feature would improve the performance of the smartphone's flash. It will create better lit, less harsh photos in low light conditions.
Pictures comparing the current iPhone camera module to the camera that could be for the iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S surfaced last week.
The part that belongs to the upcoming Apple smartphone does not include a flash component attached with a ribbon that is found on the iPhone 5. This could be because the device is expected to launch with a more powerful dual-LED flash.
This component could also belong to the low-cost iPhone. That device is expected to feature similar components to the current iPhone model.
Earlier photos of the next-gen iPhone components depicted a pill shaped dual-LED flash to replace the circular flash found on the iPhone 5.
The new iPhone is rumored to come with a 12-megapixel camera with a larger aperture for improved low light photography, according to previous reports. It is also expected to feature a new slow-motion photography mode to complement its current panoramic capabilities.
The next-generation iPhone is rumored to be released on Sept. 10. The device is expected to be introduced alongside the low-cost model that could end up being called the iPhone 5C. The cheaper model features a plastic exterior.
