iPhone 7 Leak: Edgeless Display Design?

However, there will be improvements on its internal parts. It is rumored that the iPhone 7 will no longer have a headphone jack to connect to the Lightning port. This will discourage music piracy as Apple has been very strict on iTunes and may also be planning to do the same on iPhones. The port may now be only accessed via Bluetooth headphones or an adapter.

A source present at the Apple meeting last month explained why the iPhone 7 didn't get a major redesign as hope by followers and fans. According to him, the new technology "will take time to implement." The features including curved screens weren't made in time for this year, which means that it could be included for iPhone 8.

Contender to Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

The iPhone 7's rumored curved screen is a direct contender to Samsung's Galaxy S7 Edge. Furthermore, Apple's new smartphone might also integrate similar features found in Samsung including a fingerprint sensor.

There is no official word that the iPhone 7 rumors are true, but there is a possibility that the major redesign may be coming to the iPhone 8 instead. Apple fans may also expect more than just a major redesign. There have been speculations that the iPhone 8 unit may look like one seamless glass sheet made with an OLED screen.
