A YouTube channel called Unbox Therapy received a video from a user who claims that he has recorded an actual iPhone 7. The video, which was just 27 seconds long, featured an alleged iPhone 7. The user held the device, showed how its camera works, as well as some apps already installed to the phone. The user also placed the phone in an angle where viewers could have a good look at its ports, back portion and glossy screen.
Video may be fake
However, viewers had mixed reactions to the video. Some were ecstatic about the release of the phone, while some expressed that the phone may be fake unless it was proven otherwise. NWE, a French website also reported the release of the video and even posted pictures of the said phone on their site. A Chinese team also confirmed that the photos were real.
iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus release date
Gordon Kelly from Forbes conducted his own investigation of the leak and said that he would place a huge deal of significance on the video and photos that were released. He said that the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus are currently in mass production and the products will soon be unveiled and released in September. Kelly also said that he knows the exact date when.
"So keeping a lid on a supply chain of this magnitude is virtually impossible."
Photos showed what fans already expect
The leaked video and photos show features that fans can expect from the iPhone 7. There were seamless antenna lines, improved camera for the iPhone 7 while dual cameras for the iPhone 7 Plus, absence of the 3.5mm headphone jack, a new Force Touch Home button and a new hue which fans say could be blue or black.
The iPhone 7 is also slimmer than its predecessors and its chassis is completely different. The chassis is from Besound, a company that develops wireless headphones.
