iPhone 7 release date, conceptualized specs, news, and more

As some buyers express disappointment over the latest flagships from Apple, including the latest iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, hope may be seen in the upcoming iPhone 7 as the company's patents hint that it may be the "game-changer."

The previous two devices particularly disappointed many fans due to the lack of innovation in design, as well as its release with many features that its predecessors have.

While Apple's release of its devices has become ever so obvious since it follows the same path of launching a flagship at around the same time of the year after its latest device completes a one-year-cycle, the iPhone 7 is then expected to come out in September next year.

Previous reports suggest that the upcoming device will be similar to the iPod Touch and iPad Air 2 in terms of its slim look. It is also believed to be powered by an A10 advanced chip. Techno Buffalo details a concept video from SCAVidsHD wherein it says that the iPhone 7 may totally eliminate the Home button and will be replaced with Android-like buttons at the bottom part of the device.

The new device may also sport a new USB-C port instead of the lightning port in other iPhone flagships, with the rear camera sporting six-element lenses at the center. It may feature a 2K display, wireless charging with an Apple-branded charging puck, and 8-megapixel front camera, and a front-facing speaker probably placed at the top center area.

While the outlet believes some of the ideas presented could become a reality, it also says Apple might just decide to never come up with what the video suggests.

According to the International Business Times, Apple patents have recently hinted that the device will be quite different from the rest of the iPhones. It is worth noting that Apple filed a number of patents last year and earlier this year, but they have actually not been applied in the recent iPhones released.
