iPhone 8 vs Samsung Galaxy S8 specs rumors: Leak Shows S8 Ahead In Button-Less Edge-to-Edge Look

Prolific, reputable mobile phone leak reporter Evan Blass twitted a leak of the Samsung Galaxy S8, which looks a lot like the rumored form factor that the iPhone 8 is speculated to be going for.

The tweet by Evan Blass shows a potential spoiler of the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8. The picture in the tweet shows a tall, sleek device devoid of a home button and is very much in line with the teaser made by Samsung in its Mobile World Congress presentation, according to The Verge. The posted image showcases the very thin, almost non-existent front bezels, and also indicates the confirmed launch date for the device, which is on March 29.

Mac Rumors posted their own take on this latest leak, noting that it looks like something that would be an official press image of Samsung's first flagship phone for this year. The image could confirm expectations from earlier rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will not have a visible home button on the face of the device. The edge-to-edge curved organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display, made to look even larger by the very thin bezels, is also in line with the earlier speculations from online reports and industry sources.

Apple is also very much expected by fans and iPhone enthusiasts to make use of Samsung-supplied OLED displays in some form. At least one of the three possible iPhones is expected to make use of the thinner, flexible active-matrix OLED (AMOLED) that delivers better performance compared with the prior displays the Cupertino-based company has been using.

Similar to the leaked Samsung Galaxy S8, the Apple iPhone 8 is also expected to have an edge-to-edge design. Unconfirmed reports also hint that the iPhone 8 will likewise do away with a physical home button that also acts as a fingerprint scanner, and that the home button will be built seamlessly into the display.
