iPhone X Pre-orders, Latest News Update: Delivery Shifted to Earlier Dates

The iPhone X is now up for pre-orders, since Friday, Oct. 27. As demand threatened to overwhelm the supply of the new iPhone, delivery dates have slipped to five to six weeks, at least until the recent developments.

Some buyers who have pre-ordered the new flagship iPhone has seen their delivery dates actually improve, according to MacRumors. Customers who first saw estimated delivery dates ranging from Nov. 10 to Nov. 17, are now seeing new updates pegging delivery dates at Nov. 3.

That's a week's worth of improvements for these buyers, as the iPhone Reddit community noted. For now, at least, it's mostly those who pre-ordered for the T-Mobile network that saw their delivery times improve according to 9 to 5 Mac.

Other customers who ordered even earlier may be getting their new units ahead of Nov. 3 as well. Apple offered no reason for the change in delivery date, although it seems that the company has been actively working to reduce their order backlogs.

iPhone X pre-orders are sold out as of this time, the same way it has been since 15 minutes after pre-orders were opened. Apple did confirm that they will have some stock of the iPhone X on hand by the time the phone launches on Friday, Nov. 3.

Supplies will be tight, though, especially for the larger cities. Apple told customers to come in early if they are to secure their unit.

"iPhone X will be available in more than 55 countries and territories, and in Apple Stores beginning Friday, November 3 at 8:00 a.m. local time," the company said in their announcement.

"Stores will have iPhone X available for walk-in customers, who are encouraged to arrive early," the statement added. Ship dates of the iPhone X pre-orders are expected to shift again in the coming days, as Apple routinely keeps delivery estimates on the conservative side.
