Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Pens Book With Plan to Destroy Israel
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has penned a new book titled Palestine, which makes some controversial statements about the Jewish people, while outlining a plan to destroy the nation of Israel.
A copy of the book was obtained by the New York Post which revealed some of the shocking claims made in the work that is only available in Iran.
In the book, the Ayatollah expounds on his belief that Israel has no right to exist and claims his views are not based on anti-Semitism, but on what he calls "well established Islamic principles," according to the report.
Khamenei's plan to destroy Israel doesn't involve a "massacre," but rather a strategy that involves low intensity warfare that will make life in Israel so uncomfortable that Jews will leave the nation of their own free will.
His plan is based on the assumption that most Jews have dual-citizenship and would prefer to live in the U.S. or Europe, as opposed to facing death threats on a regular basis.
Khamenei also discusses what he calls "Israel fatigue" as another means of defeating the Jewish nation. He believes the cost to support Israel, a nation that will constantly be embroiled in war if he has his way, will become too high for nations such as the U.S. and they will look for a solution to the conflict in the Middle East.
Khamenei's recommended solution would be what he calls a "one-state-formula," which would be a nation called Palestine that would be under Muslim rule. Jews who could prove that they have "genuine roots" would still be able to live there as "protected minorities."
Khamenei holds controversial views about the U.S. and Israel and has not been afraid to express them in the past.
While discussing nuclear weapons negotiations between the U.S. and Iran in January of 2014, Khamenei referred to the U.S. simply as "Satan."
"We had announced previously that on certain issues, if we feel it is expedient, we would negotiate with the Satan (the United States) to deter its evil," said Khamenei, as reported by the official IRNA news agency.
More recently, a controversial graphic was posted on what is believed to be Khamenei's Twitter account featuring U.S. president Barack Obama holding a handgun against his head with the American flag on the left side of the picture.
The graphic was accompanied by a controversial caption which read "we welcome no war, nor do we initiate any war, but if any war happens, the one who will emerge the loser will be the aggressive and criminal U.S."
The Twitter account features various posts criticizing America and Israel. There's even a threat made to Israel in a post from last week.
"Israel's security will not be ensured whether there will be an Iran Deal or not," read the tweet.
The Obama administration argues that the agreement with Iran over its nuclear weapons program is better than no agreement, and critics have failed to provide a better alternative.
The Ayatollah's hostility comes as no surprise to Christian apologists such as Don Stewart who believe that Iran's conflict with Israel will precede what he believes to be the end times war to end all wars, based on his interpretation of scripture.
He explained to mega pastor Greg Laurie in February of this year that people in Iran believe a final Imam will come in the last days that will kill Christians and Jews to make the world a caliphate. This is why the nation has fought so hard to possess nuclear weapons, according to Stewart.
"They [the Shias in Iran] think they are divinely ordained to do this," said Stewart. "We [the U.S.] are the big Satan; Israel is a little Satan [for them]."
