Israel Seeks Revenge in New Dehli Motorcycle Bomber Attack

Israel has vowed to settle the score after an Israeli diplomat's car was attacked by a motorcycle bomber in New Delhi, India.

Investigators are searching for a motorcycle assailant who attacked an Israeli diplomat in New Delhi on Monday, according to The Associated Press.

Meanwhile, Israel is angered with the attack and vows revenge for those responsible. Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch made a statement on Israel Radio, condemning the perpetrators behind the bombing, according to CBS News.

"We know who carried out the terror attacks, we know who sent them, and Israel will settle the score with them," Aharonovitch said.

Israel has blamed Iran and the Lebanese group, Hezbollah, for the attack, an accusation that has been denied by the Iranians, according to ABC News. Indian investigators haven't put blame for the attack on anyone in particular, but joined Israel in condemning the act.

"At the moment, I am not pointing a finger at any particular group or any particular organization. But whoever did it, we condemn it in the strongest terms," said Indian Home Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram.

Chidambaram also indicated the attack was carried out by a "very well-trained person."

A motorcyclist allegedly attached a magnetic bomb to the vehicle of the Israeli diplomat, which injured four people. Tal Yehoshua-Koren, wife of a Defense Ministry official, was on her way to pick up her children from an American Embassy School.

The motorcyclist attached the bomb to the minivan at a red light and rode off before the bomb exploded five seconds later. Yehoshua-Koren is in critical, but stable, condition after undergoing surgery to remove shrapnel from her spine. Her driver and two bystanders were also injured in the blast.

Israel isn't providing details into the investigation of the attack, but has sent forensic scientists to search for clues.

Israeli Embassy spokesman David Goldfarb only disclosed that Indian security authorities were said to be cooperating.

"There is day-to-day cooperation between Israeli authorities and Indian security authorities. Very close cooperation," Goldfarb said.

Other Israel officials claim the attacks would not be isolated and fear they are facing a wave of terror.
