'iZombie' Season 3 Air Date, News: The CW Announces April Premiere; New Poster Released
The CW has officially announced a premiere date for the third season of "iZombie." And in anticipation, a new poster has also been released online.
The photo, via comicbookmovie.com, features Rose McIver's Liv Moore in black and white while wearing a hat similar to the one donned by Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara. The poster is contrasted by the color red--in the background, on the star on her hat and the blood on her lips. The poster is a clear homage to Guevara, signaling a revolution that is about to take place.
It is unclear, though, what part Liv will play in this zombie revolution. Given the events of the previous season's finale, tensions are high and Liv's choice will not come easy.
And while the looming threat of the zombie massacre is certainly urgent, Liv also has to deal with other things in her life, such as a new boyfriend who will actually stay alive.
At last year's San Diego Comic-Con, executive producer Rob Thomas revealed that love is in the air for Liv in season 3. However, staying alive does not necessarily equal staying together. Thomas further hinted that the relationship will not last, but he remained mum on the reason for the breakup.
As for Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) and Dale (Jessica Harmon), things are looking up for the two now that the cat is out of the bag. It can be recalled that Clive was forced to break up with Dale for the sake of Liv's secret. But according to Goodwin, there is still a chance that the ex-couple will get back together.
Fans are definitely excited about the new season of "iZombie." McIver herself has been updating her fans via her Instagram account. And it is apparent from her photos that the cast of the zombie series are as close as ever.
"iZombie" season 3 will premiere on Tuesday, April 4, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
