'iZombie' Season 4 Spoilers: Liv Takes on a Case of Human Trafficking
Seattle will play host to a cluster of nasty criminals in the upcoming season of "iZombie."
Spoilers for the new installment reveal that one of the ugly effects of the rise of the zombie population in the city is human trafficking. In fact, a new character will be introduced who is set to investigate the situation.
The show has reportedly tapped on actor Daniel Bonjour to play to role of Levon, a documentarist who will chronicle the new undead reality of Seattle. He is in the city to probe on the issue of human smuggling. Some criminals will allegedly see a good opportunity to earn blood money amidst the melee.
In the setup, terminally sick humans will be brought to Seattle. Once infected by the virus, they will be turned into zombies and left there co-exist with the rest. It has been speculated that Liv Moore (Rose McIver) will work alongside Levon in the investigation.
For months, she has been the sole guardian of the city from the undead. Levon will do well to stick with her to succeed with his exposé. Previously, showrunner Rob Thomas discussed the new situation in the city, comparing it with that of West Berlin's.
According to the EP, a lot of things will change, and it will not be limited to the increase of zombies. While there are humans who are open to living peacefully with the undead, there are those who are not. Different crimes will take place that will challenge Chase Graves' (Jason Dohring) capabilities as the new leader.
"There are going to be zombies who consider eating humans when they get hungry. It is a city barely under control, and meanwhile, they're still trying to have buses run on time and mail get delivered and murders get solved, and Chase Graves is trying to keep it running. Liv is still going to be solving murders, but the city itself is going to feel very, very different," Thomas said.
"iZombie" Season 4 is expected to air early 2018 on The CW.
