'iZombie' Season 4 Spoilers: Liv Teams Up with a Documentarist
Liv Moore (Rose McIver) is set to meet an inquisitive documentary filmmaker in the upcoming season of "iZombie."
According to reports, the CW series has tapped actor Daniel Bonjour to play a recurring role in the new installment. He will be Levon, a documentarist who will chronicle the new undead reality of Seattle. The character is said to be investigating an ugly effect of the change in the city – human smuggling. Criminals will reportedly take advantage of the melee to earn blood money. They will bring terminally ill humans in Seattle, expecting that they would be infected by the virus and become the undead.
Levon is likely to encounter Liz while on the field. She is expected to continue with her role as the city's unsung hero. Eventually, Liz's part in protecting the human population will be revealed, but this will not stop her from solving new murder cases. Previously, it has been teased that Seattle would undergo a huge change now that zombies are co-existing with humans, and Chase Graves (Jason Dohring) will have a hard time maintaining peace. Showrunner Rob Thomas has talked about the situation. According to him, Seattle would be like West Berlin.
"... There are going to be these humans who are willing to try to live peacefully side-by-side with zombies, there are going to be humans who are incredibly resentful of zombies," Thomas explained.
"There are going to be zombies who consider eating humans when they get hungry. It is a city barely under control, and meanwhile, they're still trying to have buses run on time and mail get delivered and murders get solved, and Chase Graves is trying to keep it running. Liv is still going to be solving murders, but the city itself is going to feel very, very different."
"iZombie" Season 4 is expected to air early 2018 on The CW.
