J. Lo Opens Up About 3 Exes At Golden Globes, 'Happy' for Affleck
Jennifer Lopez opened up about running into three different ex-boyfriends at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards while speaking to Ellen DeGeneres this week.
The 43-year-old singer's past flames include Bradley Cooper, P. Diddy, and Ben Affleck- all of whom attended Sunday's awards ceremony and its after-parties.
While on "Ellen," Lopez explained to DeGeneres that running into former boyfriends is not unusual or uncomfortable for her.
"[It's not awkward, because I see them a lot," the actress explained. "Because we're in the same business. We run in the same circles."
Furthermore, Lopez said she was "beaming" when ex-fiancé Affleck received Golden Globe Awards forth both Best Director and Best Picture with his film "Argo."
"It was a great movie," the "Jenny From the Block" singer said before she added that she had "paid close attention to the stage" as her former love accepted the award.
"We got you know, a lot of like … they were really hard on us in the press when we dated back in the day. On movies and things like that," continued Lopez, who dated Affleck for two years.
Lopez was not the first to address the media's treatment of "Bennifer," which was a term used to refer to the actress and Affleck during their relationship.
During an interview with Details magazine, Affleck referred to the period of time where he dated Lopez was "the annus horribilis," or the year of horrors of his life, and compared himself to President Obama.
"I got shorthanded as 'That Guy:' Jennifer Lopez, movies bombed … It's hard to shake those sort of headlines," explained Affleck speaking to Details. "I made a bunch of movies that didn't work. I was ending up in the tabloids. I don't know what the lesson is, except that you just have to find your compass."
It was the year 2003 that Affleck starred in the box-office flop "Gigli" and ended his relationship with Lopez.
Affleck jokingly added that 2003's failures are something he is still defending against today, but that similar to President Obama's journey toward presidency; great things can come to those who started small.
"People bring up 2003, and I get it," said the actor. "Jennifer Lopez, and 'Gigli,' and all this s--- just kind of blew up. But, you know, Barack Obama was a state Senator in Illinois! Okay?"
Meanwhile, 40-year-old Affleck has been married to Jennifer Garner for seven years now. The couple shares three children.
Alternately, Lopez's marriage to Marc Anthony ended in July 2011. The couple share 5-year-old twins Max and Emme.
Today, Lopez is happily dating 25-year-old dancer-choreographer Casper Smart.
