Jaci Velasquez to Birth New Album ... and Son
Popular Christian vocalist Jaci Velasquez is currently in the studio working on her next album.
After more than ten years since she won the Gospel Music Association's Dove Award for Best New Artist in 1997, Velasquez will release her new album early next year under her label, Apostrophe Records.
Although she has not given great details about the album, whether it is in Spanish or English, the music artist revealed in June that there were tentative plans as to when the record will be available.

"[T]here will hopefully be a digital EP out in October, and the full release will be available in stores in March," she wrote to her fans in her MySpace blog.
The new CD will be produced by Mark Heimermann, who has worked with Velasquez in the past on albums such as Crystal Clear and her debut album Heavenly Place.
In the midst of her recording, Velasquez is also expecting her first child, a boy, this November with her husband, Nic Gonzalez of Christian band Salvador. The couple were married last December.
"This has been a great year!" exclaimed the proud parents-to-be, in a released statement. "2007 promises to be even better with the arrival of our first child. We're thrilled and already feel creatively inspired by our son."
In addition to her next album, Velasquez will also be helping promote Max Lucado's 3:16 - Songs of Hope album, which is the companion CD to the compelling new book from the New York Times best-selling author on which Velasquez has a brand new recording now on radio called "Loved By You".
The album also features award-winning recording artists Third Day, Alison Krauss, Michael W Smith, Chris Tomlin, and many more sharing musical tributes to the message of John 3:16.
