Jada Pinkett Smith Slams Scientologist Allegations
Jada Pinkett Smith recently clarified that she is not a Scientologist.
Through a series of tweets, the actress disputed Leah Remini's accusation that she is a member of the contentious Church of Scientology. "I have studied Dianetics, and appreciate the merits of Study Tech ... but I am not a Scientologist," she wrote in one post.
Another tweet from the "Gotham" star reads, "I practice human kindness, and I believe that we each have the right to determine what we are and what we are not."

Remini was a member of the religious organization until 2013. Since then, she has become an outspoken critic of her former church — even sharing stories of ex-Scientologists while detailing their experience in the church in a memoir.
In the book, Remini said famous Scientologist Tom Cruise was the one who invited Pinkett Smith. The two A-listers allegedly played "hide-and-seek with a bunch of grown-ups" in a secluded location during an odd night in Cruise's estate. "I know Jada's in. She's been in Scientology a long time," Remini continued.
Remini further added that while she never saw Pinkett Smith's famous husband Will Smith, she often saw her at the Celebrity Centre. "They opened up a Scientology school, and have since closed it," she revealed. "But Jada, I had seen her at the Scientology Celebrity Centre all the time."
Located in Hollywood, the Scientology Celebrity Centre is believed to be where the "stars" of Scientology gather regularly to practice their religion. The school Remini was pertaining to is known as New Village Leadership Academy, which can be found in Calabasas, California. She pointed out that the Smith family funded a huge part of the establishment and a lot of the celebrity family's employees are Scientologists as well.
