Jada Pinkett, born in Baltimore, Maryland, is an American actress, producer, director, and businesswoman. She shot to recognition in 1990, appearing in the short-lived sitcom True Colors in a guest appearance. She later went on to successfully perform in films such as A Different World, The Nutty Professor and The Matrix Reloaded.

Smith's birthday celebration haven't been made public, but news reports have said she probably commemorated privately with her family. Recent rumors that she and Will were breaking up and the cancellation of her show “HawthoRNe” is thought to have discouraged her from holding her birthday anywhere close to where the paparazzi could reach her.

On the same day, Rapper Xzibit, 37, and actress Holly Robinson Peete, 47, were also celebrating their birthdays.

Like Jada, Peete has recently lost her TV job as she was fired from CBS The Talk, according to BET publication. Reportedly she does not know why, and all she could say is sometimes “you don’t get a reason.”

"I've been around long enough in this business to know that, sometimes, you don't get a reason. You just pick up and keep moving," she told E! News.

In other related birthday news, Marc Anthony celebrated his 43rd birthday recently as he performed at his sold-out concert at Miami's American Airlines Arena. People reports the singer dropped to his knees onstage and broke into tears when his fans sang "Happy Birthday."
