Jami Smith To Release Two Albums By End Of The Year
Singer/songwriter and worship leader Jami Smith has a busy year set ahead for her, expecting to release two CD's by the end of 2005. Currently, Smith is finishing up her first Christmas album, slated for seasonal release, and immediately afterwards will begin production on her next worship album, which is due out in August.
The Christmas album, which will include five original and five standard tracks, was produced at Spaceway Studios in Duncanville, Texas (Shane & Shane's studio) by Will Hunt (Aptcore/Rocketown). Joining Smith on the album will be friends Robbie Seay, Shane Barnard, Will Hunt on drums, MercyMe member Jim Bryson on keyboards, Bluegrass/folk singer K.C. Clifford, and her brother Ryan Smith.
Always defining herself as a worship leader, Smith remains mindful of the listener, purposing to give words and music that connect with God. Her most recent work "Wash Over Me" (Integrity/Hosanna) gained national acclaim with songs "Salt and Light" and the title cut "Wash Over Me".
Smith will be featured at the opening of The Fifth Annual Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon - billed as A RUN TO REMEMBER - on Sunday, April 24, 2005, commemorating the tenth anniversary of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City.
