January Jones' Son Remains Mystery: Actress Refuses to Name Father
January Jones is refusing to acknowledge who the father of her 20-month-old son is, arguing that every girl has a right to her secrets.
The "Mad Men" actress has previously stated that she prefers to keep her personal life private. But her request also extends to her son, whose father she has refused to name.
It is unclear why Jones insists on remaining so mysterious when it comes to the father of her child. She first announced that she would not divulge the father's name in 2011, after discovering she was pregnant. During an interview last week, Jones noted that the only person who ought to know the father of her son Xander is her son.

"That's my son's business," Jones told The New York Times on Friday. "It's not the public's business."
The actress, who has previously been linked to Jason Sudeikis, Ashton Kutcher, Josh Groban, and even Liam Hemsworth, suggested that she was advised early on to keep her private life a secret. Her advice comes from an actor who has also been known to keep quiet about his life.
"Jack Nicholson once told me: 'You should never give your personal life away, otherwise people will pick you apart. They'll never believe in your character,'" she said.
"Women should have lots of secrets," she added. "It's our right to have secrets. Otherwise, what would we write in our memoirs?"
Why is Jones so secretive? "Mad Men" creator Mathew Weiner suggests "she's a little bit shy." But according to Jones, she's just not looking to impress anyone with her personal life.
"I'm not trying to sell myself," Jones told The Times. "I wouldn't know how."
The actress' need for mystery also extends to her wardrobe, including a gown she wore to the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January.
"I wanted to go extreme in hair and makeup, like a Bowie character, maybe," Jones said. "I thought that might be a little confusing, which I like."
Critics didn't like it, but that doesn't bother Jones.
"Those people don't have degrees in fashion," Jones said. "Why would I care what they say?"
