"Live Monsters was our attempt to preserve some of the finer moments on the spring and fall legs of the Good Monsters tour," Odmark explained about the album. "It was an amazing tour…."

According to reports, Jars of Clay's fall Good Monsters tour last year consistently filled concert venues nationwide before it came to a close.

Launched in Toccoa Falls, Ga., on Oct. 5, 2006, and concluding in Lexington, Ky., on Nov. 18, 2006, the tour helped the band garner significant media exposure in every tour city. Appearances on the nationally syndicated morning radio show, "Mancow," and local TV affiliates along with high impact print, talk radio and Internet coverage generated more than 12.2 million impressions.

"[O]n this album you will find performances from our college tour across the northeast and west coast, our New England club run, and even a show from our first time back in Canada since 1996," Odmark reported. "We teamed up with the folks at Presonus and Sweetwater Sound to build one of the leanest and meanest mobile recording rigs possible. This rig enabled us to capture every show of the tour and catalogue them digitally. We owe them special thanks in the making of this project."

Jars of Clay launched their career with the hit "Flood" in 1995. Since then, the band has amassed more than six million in career sales (5 gold, 2 platinum and 1 double platinum certification), an American Music Award nod, 17 No. 1 radio hits, and numerous film credits and BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.) honors for song writing and performing.
