Jason 'Mayhem' Miller Arrested and Found Naked in Church
Former UFC fighter and reality television host Jason "Mayhem" Miller was arrested and put in jail on suspicion of burglary after police deputies reportedly found the mixed-martial arts fighter naked inside a Southern California church.
The pastor at Mission Hills Church in Mission Viejo alerted police when he found evidence of a break-in, such as books and CDs that were scattered on the floor along with white powder on the floors and missing boards from a previously broken window, according to Orange County Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino.
"When officers arrived they saw books and CDs thrown all over the place and broken picture frames on the floors … Retardant from a fire extinguisher was sprayed along the church walls … Several of the church's windows were broken," Amormino told the Orange County Register.
Deputies stated that they found Miller naked on a couch inside Mission Hills Church. There were no reports of any other person with Miller.
"When they asked him his name he responded, 'Mayhem,'" Amormino told the Orange County Register.
Amormino explained that Miller was conscious and cooperated with police as he was arrested.
Miller was being held on $20,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, Orange County records showed. It was not yet known if Miller had hired an attorney and phone listings for Miller or a representative could not be found.
Miller was once a popular professional middleweight fighter in mixed martial arts circles. Miller has fought for many organizations including UFC, but a string of losses took Miller away from the spotlight.
Miller also hosted the MTV reality show "Bully Beatdown," where bullies are challenged to take on professional MMA fighters for a chance to win money.
Before his last fight on May 27, Miller stated that he would retire if he was defeated. He went on to lose to C.B. Dollaway and was released from UFC.
