Jenelle Evans Calls 'Time Out' From Marriage, Needs Time to 'Figure This Out'
Jenelle Evans has reportedly taken some time away from husband Courtland Rogers in order to figure out if she wants to remain married. The two have had relationship issues from the very beginning and it's not the first time divorce has been mentioned by the couple.
"Jenelle said I need to straighten out and not drink and not go out and not do dumb stuff anymore. She said she doesn't want to be with someone who is messing up all the time," Rogers told Radar Online.
Evans seemed to confirm the decision for a trial separation by posting a cryptic message on Twitter.
"I have to figure this out," she posted. It's not unusual for Evans to use Twitter to explain what she's thinking or going through. In fact, she often seems to be on Twitter all the time, for better or for worse.
Evans and Rogers have exchanged messages via Twitter, detailing what went wrong in their relationship and allowing for commentary by those not directly involved in their relationship. However, Rogers is also speaking to Radar Online in order to express his feelings and tell his side of the story.
"I'm not perfect and what Jenelle wants is for me to show her that I love her and improve myself, so I have to figure out how to do that. I love her and I want her to work this out with me," Rogers said.
"I can't wait to meet this baby and I want to be a great dad. I've learned how to be a dad from not being a dad to my other child all these months and I want to show Jenelle and everyone else that I can be a good dad," Rogers added.
He and Evans are expecting their first child together sometime this month. They each have their own child that they no longer have custody of. Evans' son lives with her mother, while Rogers' daughter lives with his ex-girlfriend.
Since getting married in December, Rogers and Evans have had their share of highs and lows. The first report of trouble was one suggesting that they were headed for divorce after only 26 days of marriage.
