Jenelle Evans News: 'Teen Mom 2' Star Banned By Own Mother From Seeing Son

Just as when it appeared that Jenelle Evans had finally sobered up and settled down, the "Teen Mom 2" is once again mired in a family and legal trouble over her drug use.

For a time, the reality star maintained a façade of a matured person following the birth of her daughter. However, it wasn't long until this side of her was shattered, devolving into a maelstrom of drug use, erratic behavior, and legal battles.

According to her own mother, she banned her daughter from seeing her son Jace after she tested positive for marijuana while she was pregnant with her newborn daughter.

Barbara Evans opened up about Jenelle's court documents in which the child's father's mother, Doris Davidson, asked a judge for emergency custody of Jenelle's second son Kaiser. This was after Jenelle was investigated by Department of Social Services for having drugs in her system when she gave birth.

"That's a fact," Mrs. Evans said. "I have Jace, so when something like that happens, they contact me."

In the documents, Davidson claimed that Jenelle smoked marijuana while pregnant and is too negligent and emotionally unstable to raise a child. Her extreme mood changes are aggravated by her drug use and a mixture of prescription drugs. She also lacks the ability to control her anger as well as the ability to exercise good judgment.

According to Davidson's lawyer, Jenelle appears to have no insight into how her actions could be damaging to the minor child. The lawyer goes further requesting a psychological evaluation be done on Jenelle to determine the state of her mental health.

For the moment, no ruling has been made on either the request for emergency custody or the psychological evaluation. Nevertheless, this case could prove pivotal on the ongoing custody battle between Jenelle and her mother.
