Jennie Garth Skinnier Post-Split; Looking Guant?
Jennie Garth has stepped out in New York this week appearing barely recognizable after her extreme weight loss as she awaits the finalization of her divorce.
Possibly suffering from depression or on a grueling diet and exercise plan, Garth debuted a much thinner frame and even appeared sickly on her way toward Fox & Friends studios for an interview on Wednesday.
The 40-year-old actress and her husband of 11 years, Peter Facinelli, announced in March that they were splitting up. Garth was served divorce papers by the "Twilight" star just last month.
Some fans have expressed concern over the actress' new look. On Twitter, one user wrote that Garth appeared "dramatically skinnier" while another asked, "Is that really her?"
Since the news of their break up went public, Garth has been very outspoken about her struggles to cope with the Facinelli's decision to leave.
"It was something we were working through together," she said during a past interview on NBC's "Today" show. "As anybody who's been through it, it's always kind of shocking when it ends up finally happening."
Garth and Facinelli share three daughters together.
"It was sad for our family unit," continued the actress. "We're a really great family, and we always will be, because we have three beautiful daughters together."
Garth's daughter Lola Ray joined her in New York Wednesday. The 9-year-old bore a strong resemblance to her mother. Facinelli and Garth also have daughters Luca Bella, 15, and Fiona Eve, 5.
Facinelli rose to fame with his role as Carlisle Cullen in the famed "Twilight" series of movies. As news of their divorce made headlines, rumors suggested that the split was cause by Garth's jealousy over her husband's success.
"There was nothing like that going on," explained the actress on "Today." "I was very happy for him and so happy to be at home with the kids and enjoying my 'early retirement.' I didn't want to work at that time. I just wanted to be at home on the farm."
Garth is currently filming a series on CMT, "Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country."
