Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux looking to adopt amidst divorce rumors
News has emerged Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are planning to adopt following rumors their marriage is on the rocks.
"Cake" actress Jennifer Aniston and her new husband, "The Leftovers" star Justin Theroux, have been hounded by media reports saying their month-old marriage is troubled and they have been headed for a split.
According to tabloids, the couple is finding out they have not been as happy together as they expected, with Theroux contemplating a divorce just one month after marriage. Aniston has reportedly confided in close friends she feels she may have made a mistake.
Despite divorce rumors, however, tabloids are now reporting the new couple are looking into adopting their own baby as Aniston is said to be unable to conceive naturally and feels the next best option is to adopt. They have also been going to couples' therapy to save their marriage.
Another rumor is making the rounds saying Aniston, 46, and Theroux, 44, only tied the knot to be able to adopt a child, even if the US Bureau of Consular Affairs allows single persons to pursue adoption.
Speculations have arisen the adoption was one of the ways they were looking at to strengthen their marriage.
While the couple has neither confirmed nor denied the news of an impending divorce, and a future adoption, Aniston is reportedly apprehensive about adopting a child.
Aniston is also said to have consulted with her friends, singer Sheryl Crow and actress Charlize Theron, for advice about adopting a child at her age. Both celebrities have reportedly provided a wealth of information and have advocated befriending other mothers in the neighborhood as an added support group.
Oscar winner Theron has also been preparing her friend about what to expect during the adoption process, including documentation and numerous interviews.
Aniston has reportedly said she will push through with the adoption, even if she and Theroux end up divorcing.
