Jennifer Aniston 'Bald' Photo Goes Viral; Actress Victim of Cancer Hoax (PICTURE)

Jennifer Aniston fans were recently left stunned after a photograph of the actress sporting a shaved head surfaced online.

A now deleted fake Facebook page originally uploaded the photoshopped picture on Tuesday. It showed Aniston, who is renowned for her luscious long locks, sporting heavy makeup and a shaved head.

A post claimed the Hollywood starlet, 44, had chopped off her famous locks to support her cancer-stricken niece, but reports confirm this is false.

"Once her hair started to fall off, she was depressed and terrified to look in the mirror," the fake post read before the page was removed. "She recently asked me why she wasn't pretty like all the other girls. I didn't know how to react. So I cut my hair off for her. This Christmas I'll be her mirror."

The doctored photo was taken from the 2006 film premiere of "Friends With Money" and her hair was removed using high-tech editing software, according to People magazine.

In November the "We're The Millers" actress did in fact sport a much shorter hairstyle with the help of her longtime hairstylist and friend Chris McMillan.

The actress, famous for making the "Rachel" cut popular in the '90s, debuted a sophisticated bob in an Instagram pic posted by McMillan. Aniston is the face of hair care brand Living Proof.

"LOVE!! #JenniferAniston #bob haircut @LivingProofInc #Flex #PerfectHairDay #LivingProof #ChrisMcMillan #newdo," McMillan wrote in a photo caption.

The former "Friends" actress revealed that her bob haircut was a "kind of spur-of-the-moment" decision.

"I was flipping through the television channels and I paused it to take a picture and I sent it to Chris, and he said, 'That's [stylist] Lawren Howell from Vogue!' And then he said, 'I just cut that!' So that's it. He went way shorter than hers, but she was the inspiration," she told Vogue.

Aniston is currently engaged to actor Justin Theroux, however the couple is yet to set a wedding date.
