In 1994, Aniston landed the pivotal role of Rachel Green on NBC's "Friends," which resulted in a lucrative career that lasted 10 years on the show.
More recently, the actress has appeared in films such as "Marley & Me," "Horrible Bosses," and "Wanderlust," among many others.
On Monday, Aniston is likely celebrating her 44th birthday with fiancé Justin Theroux, but her fans are also celebrating- Twitter has been flooded with well-wishers posting messages to the actress.
"She's the best, the hottest, funniest, the most lovely celebrity out there," started Ms. Ann. "Happy Birthday Jennifer Aniston."
Jason posted, "Happy Birthday America's sweetheart Jennifer Aniston."
Meanwhile, Aniston is preparing to marry her "Wanderlust" co-star Theroux, although the couple has not shared wedding plans.
The couple were introduced on the set of 2007's "Tropic Thunder," and reconnected years later while filming the movie "Wanderlust." The pair became engaged on Theroux's 41st birthday on Aug. 10.
According to a source close to the pair, Aniston, who divorced Brad Pitt in 2005, is happy that her first marriage did not work out because it led her to Theroux.
"She is so in love with Justin, that she is really grateful how things turned out," said the source speaking to the Daily Mail. "In a strange way, if it weren't for [Pitt's fiancée] Angelina [Jolie], Jennifer would not have connected with Justin in a romantic way."
